Team House of Data
Herman Holterman
With over 25 years of experience in IT, I am a strategic CTO driven by a passion for technology. I specialize in identifying how tech and data can drive business value, whether by enhancing the customer experience, optimizing operations, or increasing revenue.
As a boardroom sparring partner, I define and safeguard the technical roadmap and vision, ensuring IT is perfectly aligned with business goals. I build and lead teams that develop innovative, scalable solutions using cloud, open-source, and data technologies.
Ewald Borst
With over 25 years of experience in Business Intelligence, I specialize in data integration and reporting. From DBA at ilionx to Data Warehouse Architect at UMC Utrecht, and from BI Specialist at the Prinses Máxima Center to Data Engineer at IJsvogel Retail: I have worked across the full breadth of the data infrastructure.
As a BI specialist, I transform complex data sources into clear, actionable dashboards. Whether it's building data warehouses, ETL migrations to dbt, or developing ARIMA+ forecasting models, I ensure your data flows reliably and your reports remain accurate.
Maurits den Dunnen
Experienced program and project manager with a background in digital transformation, information security, and complex IT programs. I manage multi-vendor projects, control scope, planning and budget, and ensure clear communication with all stakeholders. With experience at organizations such as Independer, TenneT TSO, Infomedics, Famed, IJsvogel Retail and Pally Biscuits, I combine knowledge of IT governance (PRINCE2, MSP) with hands-on project leadership. Certified in PRINCE2 and MSP, with experience in ISO 27001 and ISO 9001 implementations.
Dananjana (Dana) Kuruppuachchi
DevOps & Platform Engineer with over 10 years of experience designing and operating production-grade cloud platforms. From Pearson to Gapstars, from AWS to Azure: I have built large-scale infrastructure that enables teams to release quickly and securely.
Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines, observability and security-by-design are my daily work. I ensure cloud platforms run reliably, costs stay under control and teams can focus on building.
Why House of Data?
We don't deliver PowerPoints. We design and build.
House of Data was born from a simple conviction: it can be done better. In 25 years in the field, we kept seeing the same pattern:
- Advisory reports that end up in a drawer.
- Paying for seniority, but getting juniors on the project.
- Vendors only optimizing their own 'tool': the rest is your problem.
On the ground, we saw the consequences: shared Excel sheets as an "integration strategy", credentials on post-its and data that is there, but unusable because nobody maintains the overall integrity.
Our promise:
The large consulting firms provide advice and depart. Boutique firms build, but often lack architectural depth. We do both. And we stay.
"Advice without execution is an opinion. Execution without architecture is a time bomb."
